College of Education Student Ambassadors are dedicated representatives who professionally and proudly represent the student perspective of our college. They play a crucial role in connecting with prospective and new students and their families, assisting them in making well-informed decisions.

Ambassadors shine at various events such as Arizona Experience, Wildcat Snapshot, Admitted Student Day, College Fairs, Student Panels, and various other events. Throughout their experience, Ambassadors develop strong communication and leadership skills that empower them for future success.

Lizeth Garcia

Lizeth Garcia (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Lizeth most enjoys the welcoming community and opportunities available for all students at The University of Arizona. She is currently studying Elementary Education with a Bilingual Endorsement and Spanish with the plans of becoming a first or second grade teacher at a bilingual school. During her time here at The University of Arizona, Lizeth hopes to study abroad to learn about different cultures, foods and languages so that she can radiate inclusion and diversity the day she has a classroom of her own ! While doing so, Lizeth is excited to share her love for the university as a COE ambassador.

Raya Jefferson

Raya Jefferson

Raya Jefferson (she/her/hers), originally from Chicago, is currently studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Arizona. She deeply values the College of Education’s strong sense of community, especially the support and encouragement from staff and faculty who are dedicated to student success. Inspired by this environment, she serves as an ambassador, where she enjoys guiding prospective students as they explore the program and acting as a welcoming resource throughout their journey. In this role, Raya has strengthened her leadership skills, gained confidence in representing the college, and built meaningful connections that will last well beyond graduation.

Maddie Wilkov

Maddie Wilkov (she/her/hers) is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I am a freshman at the University of Arizona, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. In addition to my studies, I am an active member of the Hillel organization on campus, where I engage with my community and build meaningful connections. As a student ambassador for the College of Education, I am committed to making a positive impact by supporting fellow students.

Ezequiel Jimenez

Ezequiel Jimenez (He/Him/HIs) is a native Tucsonian who is current junior studying Leadership and Learning Innovation (LLI) and Political Science. His long term goal is to teach Social Studies within a middle school or high school, as well as to assist his local community. He is currently involved with the TRIO program, the College of Education Undergraduate Dean’s Advisory Board, and the College of Education Ambassadors. He chose to dual enroll in LLI and Political Science in order to teach others about education and government. Ezequiel became an ambassador to not only familiarize himself within the College of Education but to also improve his communication, public speaking and leadership skills.

Peyton Sweeney

Peyton Sweeney is a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying Early Childhood. Education. Her long-term goal is to become a first-grade teacher and a mentor for young students, both academically and personally. She is highly involved on campus through Chi Omega, FCC Honorary, STUMO, the College of Education Student Council, and as a College of Education Ambassador. These roles have helped her develop strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills while giving me real-world experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She is especially passionate about her role as a COE Ambassador because it allows her to represent her college, build professional connections, and prepare for a future in education. She prides herself on being hardworking, reliable, and intentional with her time, balancing academics, extracurriculars, and relationships with family and friends. She is excited to bring her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for helping others into any opportunity she takes on.

Anna Pitcock

Anna Pitcock (she/her/hers) is a junior from Ohio majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Music. She has always loved working with children, whether she is teaching Sunday School or tutoring middle school students. Her career goal is to become an elementary school teacher with certifications in teaching English as a Second Language and elementary music. At the University of Arizona, she is president of Student Council for the College of Education, a member of the internal committee for Honors Student Council, has a seat on the College of Education’s Dean’s Advisory Board, and plays trumpet for the School of Music’s Wind Ensemble. As an ambassador, she loves giving tours and hopes to connect with prospective students, share her experience as an out of state student, and tell others about the valuable opportunities she has had at the University of Arizona.

Madeline Stone

Madeline Stone (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Barrington, New Hampshire. Currently she is a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying Rehabilitation Studies and Services as a way to help people regain their independence and improve their quality of life after an illness or injury. In the future she aspires to become an occupational therapist and help patients achieve personal and physical goals. In addition, Madeline is a member of the W.A. Franke Honors College, and is an active member of her dorms hall council. Being an ambassador for the College of Education allows her to create new connections with students, current and future, as well as staff. It also means she can help prospective students learn about, and find their place here at the University of Arizona.

Ky Pixton

Ky Pixton (they/them/theirs) has lived in many different places but has settled in Marana, Arizona. They are currently a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying Early Childhood Education with a Bilingual Emphasis. Having gone through a few different school systems growing up, they are determined to make school a safe and comfortable place for all children to learn and express themselves. They hope to one day work for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and travel the world making military children feel a bit more at home in an ever-changing environment. Being an ambassador allows them to connect with future colleagues and students alike, and help to foster a positive association with the College of Education and the University of Arizona.

Marisol Kamei

Marisol Kamei (she/her/hers) is from Tucson, Arizona. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying Elementary Education with a Bilingual Endorsement. Inspired by many teachers in her life, she hopes to become an elementary teacher and make a kind and caring impact in future students’ lives. Being an ambassador means being able to create a warm, welcoming environment for prospective students and practicing skills in public speaking. She enjoys meeting new people and is excited about the experiences the College of Education Ambassadors will bring during her time at the University of Arizona.

Ember Berk

Ember Berk (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She is a sophomore at University of Arizona, studying Elementary Education. Alongside time spent at the College of Education, she is a member of Hillel Jewish Organization, building community furthering education. As an ambassador she hopes to connect with current and future students alike. During her time at the University of Arizona Ember hopes to gain experience in the field, have meaningful interactions and learning experiences and make new friends!
