Researcher Spotlight
Dr. Karina Salazar (Educational Policy Studies & Practice) conducts research that has translated directly into local high school contexts to promote inclusion. She has mastered a highly complex and rare methodological expertise in analyzing big data using large-scale empirical databases in ways that have real-world relevance. Her work is charting new paths in our understanding of college access, organizational dynamics, and enrollment management.
The Center for Education Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (CEARE), led by Dr. Adriana Cimetta, partners with multiple grant-funded projects on campus to provide institutional-level education assessment, research, and evaluation focused on student success. CEARE’s work crosses many disciplines and is quickly building a robust database on educational programmatic best practices and strategies.
