Senior Lecturer

 Christopher Sanderson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies in the College of Education at the University of Arizona. A former classroom teacher, he brings more than two decades of experience supporting students across K–12 and higher education settings.

Dr. Sanderson began his career as a middle school teacher in the border region of the southwestern United States, an experience that continues to guide his approach to teaching and learning. His academic interests focus on digital literacies, student technology integration, makerspaces, and digital inclusion across society. He also explores the role of artificial intelligence in helping educators create more engaging, individualized learning experiences.

In his teaching and mentorship, Dr. Sanderson emphasizes collaboration, educational leadership, and the effective use of technology to enhance teaching and learning. His work centers on preparing future educators and leaders to design inclusive, student-centered environments that empower all learners to succeed in an increasingly connected and technologically dynamic world.
