Elissa Muñoz-Tucker is an Instructor in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies at the University of Arizona. She teaches undergraduate courses in Rehabilitation Studies and Services, coordinates fieldwork experiences for the master’s program in Counseling, and serves in a leadership role within the undergraduate Rehabilitation Studies and Services program. Elissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, both from the University of Arizona. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), she has gained clinical experience in community mental health, integrated healthcare, and private practice settings, which inform her teaching and enhances her work as fieldwork coordinator. Elissa is deeply committed to student learning and success. Her work is grounded in a passion for teaching, mentoring, and guiding students along their academic and professional journeys in the helping professions.
