Educating for Resurgence, Solidarity and Hope: TLS Colloquy Returns March 27
The University of Arizona College of Education’s Department of Teaching, Learning & Sociocultural Studies will host the 37th TLS Graduate Student Colloquy on March 27, 2026, from 4–8 p.m. in Room 211.
Centered on the theme “Educating for Resurgence, Solidarity and Hope in Trying Times,” the annual colloquy showcases the research, scholarship and perspectives of TLS graduate students through presentations and a poster gallery walk. The event brings together students, faculty and community members to engage in critical conversations shaping the future of education.
The evening will feature a keynote address by Dr. Mary Carol Combs, professor in the College of Education, titled “Without Rage or Love, There Is No Hope: Why Academics Must Be Angry, Hopeful and Activist.” Her talk will explore the role of educators and scholars in advancing equity, advocacy and meaningful change.
The colloquy is free and open to the public.
