College of Education Hosts Sold-Out Arizona Literacy Road Show
Arizona Literacy Road Show Brings 150 Educators to the College of Education
The University of Arizona College of Education welcomed 150 educators on June 23 for the sold-out Tucson stop of the Arizona Literacy Road Show, a statewide professional learning initiative led by the Arizona Department of Education. The day-long training focused on evidence-based literacy instruction and the science of reading, equipping teachers with practical strategies to strengthen classroom literacy practices and improve student outcomes.
With more than half of Arizona's third graders not yet reading at grade level, the event provided educators with opportunities to explore new approaches to reading instruction, collaborate with colleagues, and reflect on ways to better support learners across the state.
