Meet Maria Hinojosa: Q&A and Book Signing

On Tuesday, April 19, the Confluencenter is hosting award-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa for a conversation, Q&A and book signing at the Kiva theater in the Student Union at 12 p.m.

For nearly 30 years, Hinojosa has reported on stories and communities in America that often go ignored by the mainstream media.

As one of the first Latinas in many newsrooms, her memoir 'Once I was You' tells about her intimate experience growing up Mexican American on the south side of Chicago.

We would love for students to take part in this chance to meet with Maria Hinojosa, purchase a signed copy of her book, and have a chance to ask her questions!
