Disability & Psychoeducational Studies

Our department is committed to fostering human and economic development by empowering and inclusively supporting culturally diverse individuals with disabilities and special abilities across all age groups. We specialize in research and education for students with disabilities and special abilities, addressing current issues in special education, counseling, rehabilitation, school psychology, and deaf studies.

We achieve our mission by conducting cutting-edge research to expand understanding of abilities, disabilities, adaptations, interventions, and support systems. We prepare professionals to educate and support individuals with disabilities and special abilities and provide leadership at local, state, national, and international levels.

We offer nationally recognized undergraduate, master's, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. Our programs equip future teachers, counselors, specialists, administrators, school psychologists, school counselors, researchers, and educators in special education, rehabilitation, school psychology, gifted education, sign language and deaf studies, and educational interpreting.
