Students who choose careers in education face major challenges in financing college knowing that the earning potential is low compared to other professions. Many of our students have high financial need; almost half of our undergraduate students receive Pell grants.
Due to the generosity of donors, in 2023-24, the College of Education awarded over $650,000 to almost 350 students.
Scholarships relieve our students' financial burdens, freeing up valuable time to focus on their studies and gaining real-world experience through student teaching, internships, and research opportunities. The richer their experiences now, the more they will impact education in the future.

The Erasmus Circle, named for the Renaissance scholar whose work in education changed humanity, is a College of Education giving society that supports Erasmus Circle Scholars and Fellows. Scholars are outstanding students who show promise in their field of study, and Fellows are faculty leaders who have demonstrated excellence in their fields. AZTF is a merit-based scholarship program that is offered to selected undergraduates and graduate students who are committed to pursuing teaching careers in Arizona, with strong preference given to Southern Arizona school districts in the Greater Tucson Area. Our acclaimed Teach Arizona Master of Education and Certification Program offers students a seamless transition from college to grad school to the start of a meaningful teaching career - in just one year.
