Meet Author Brandy Colbert

Co-sponsored by African American Student Affairs & Worlds of Words Center As Part of the University of Arizona's Celebration of Black History Month.



Brandy Colbert is an acclaimed author of youth literature, including the award-winning Black Birds in the Sky: The Story and Legacy of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. She is also the author of The Only Black Girls in Town and The Blackwoods. She is on faculty at Hamline University's MFA program in writing for children and lives in Los Angeles.
