Heather Haley Frankfort

Heather is a 4th year doctoral student in Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies with a minor in Gender and Women's Studies. She is from San Jose, California. Heather is currently the Student Support Coordinator for TRIO Teacher Prep in the College of Education. Her research interests include reproductive education, justice, and rights. She is currently conducting research on the effects of removing comprehensive sex education from high schools in southern Arizona. She is also interested in the relationship between parental rights, public schooling, and banned books. She is a former classroom teacher and has fifteen years of experience working in elementary schools in Illinois, California, and Arizona.
