Leona Davis
Leona’s professional journey includes teaching in K-12 schools, designing and building water harvesting systems, managing food security programs at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, and starting Earth Grant, a leadership development and paid internship program for University of Arizona undergrads pursuing environmental careers. Leona currently manages interdisciplinary environmental graduate education programs with Arizona Institute for Resilience.
Leona’s research areas of interest include the intersections of environmental education, leadership development education, culture and identity, and equitable and inclusive educational program design and evaluation. Her research has been published in Environmental Health Perspectives, Citizen Science Theory and Practice, and International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
