Christopher A Sanderson

Senior Lecturer

Christopher Sanderson is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Education. His career in education began in 1998 as a middle school teacher in Southern Arizona, and he has spent the past two decades in higher education. Before joining the College of Education, he served as an instructor for the University of Arizona South, where he contributed to expanding educational opportunities for students in the rural Southern Arizona border region. In 2019, he transitioned to the College of Education's main campus, where he currently teaches in the Elementary Education and Learning, Leadership, and Innovation programs.

Throughout his career, he has been committed to developing, mentoring, and preparing future educators to design and implement engaging classroom instruction. His teaching emphasizes integrating technology to equip future educators with the tools necessary to create inclusive and dynamic learning environments. His pedagogical approach focuses on strategies that enhance teaching practices and support the multifaceted and unique needs of all students.

His research interests include digital literacy, educational access, and inclusive instructional practices. His work ensures that all learners have the resources and opportunities to succeed in the digital world.
