Congratulations to Dr. Desireé Vega, Associate Professor in Disability & Psychoeducational Studies, for receiving the Mentoring Future Scholars Award from the University of Arizona!
Dr. Vega’s dedication to mentoring graduate students, especially first-generation scholars and students from diverse backgrounds—has transformed futures and strengthened our academic community. With over 20 new PhD students guided, 12 dissertations chaired, and numerous graduates now serving as school psychologists, professors, and postdocs, her impact is far-reaching and deeply inspiring.
