Welcome to Rehabilitation, Mental Health and Counseling (RMHC). A career in rehabilitation, mental health, and counseling is like no other and offers tremendous rewards, including helping people make significant changes in their lives. Across our degrees is a philosophy and practice of rehabilitation, counseling, and mental health rooted in trauma-informed care, social justice, social determinants of health, and integrative care.
We offer the following undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees:
- B.S.E. Program in Rehabilitation Studies and Services prepares advocates and human service specialists with a comprehensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the service delivery skills needed to effectively assist diverse individuals with and without disabilities. - M.A. Program in Counseling prepares professional counselors who specialize in either clinical mental health counseling or clinical rehabilitation counseling. Our curriculum is CACREP-accredited, and our graduates are eligible to apply for licensure as Licensed Professional Counselors in Arizona and other states as well as national certification as Clinical Rehabilitation Counselors and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselors.
- Ph.D. Program in Counselor Education and Supervision prepares counselors who wish to enhance their leadership, teaching, and research skills often pursue the doctoral degree program. Our doctoral curriculum is CACREP-accredited with emphases in counseling, supervision, teaching, research, leadership, and advocacy.
