In the Global Education minor, students learn to work with diverse international populations in the US and abroad. The curriculum covers challenges in global education, preparing students to address these issues through ethical and social reasoning. Additionally, students will be able to tailor their minor curriculum to more specific professional and academic areas of interest, such as schooling, human rights, and sustainability.

This minor can help prepare you for further studies and careers in:

- TLS 387: Introduction to Global Education (required)
- TLS 412: Promoting Diversity in Multicultural Contexts
- EDL 200: A Global Perspective on Schooling
- PAH 372: Intercultural Competence: Culture, Identity, Adaptation, and Intercultural Relations
* Global or intercultural courses in study abroad programs may be substituted for elective courses towards the minor, please consult with the minor advisor for details
Gain hands-on experience and training in actual service in a business or government establishment. Students may complete multiple internships worth a varying amount of credit, as long as it has a global or multicultural focus. Up to 6 internship credits may be used toward the completion of this minor. The Peace Corps Prep Certificate program also aligns with the Global Education minor; please visit their website for more information.
Double Use of Minor Course Work
Minor coursework may double dip with other majors if the Global Education minor is on a second degree.
Please note that this minor does not provide the student with any type of teacher certification or credentialing.
