The M.A. program in Languages, Literacies and Transformative Pedagogies (LLTP) focuses on theory, research, and practice around a broad definition of languages, literacies, and transformative pedagogies, encouraging critical inquiry to examine sociocultural issues within teaching and learning. A wide range of courses and experiences are available within selected focus areas, including children’s and young adult literature, bilingual education and English language learners, multimodal and digital literacies, social justice, early childhood education, critical youth studies, Indigenous education and language, and science, mathematics, and environmental education. Courses are offered on-campus in late afternoon/evening with some hybrid and online course options. You can select or design a focus area that aligns with your interests and goals.

Explore theories and pedagogies around languages, literacies, and literatures through a social justice lens in a focus area that fits your area of interest.
Optional endorsements in English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, Early Childhood Education, and Structured English Immersion.
