Dr. Z Nicolazzo Honored with National Voices of Inclusion Award for Advancing Equity in Higher Education

The University of Arizona College of Education is proud to celebrate Dr. Z Nicolazzo, Interim Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Associate Professor of Trans Studies in Education at the Center for the Study of Higher Education, as well as a member of the Trans Studies Initiative, for receiving the Nancy J. Evans Voices of Inclusion Award from the American College Personnel Association at their Annual Conference in Long Beach, CA!

This prestigious award recognizes those who use their voice to create more equitable, inclusive, and just spaces across campuses, the field, and the Association. For over two decades, Dr. Nicolazzo has been deeply committed to this work, serving in multiple leadership roles within the Association and currently as the Executive Editor of About Campus, the Association’s scholarly magazine.

We are incredibly grateful for the ways Dr. Nicolazzo continues to uplift students, colleagues, and communities, both at the University of Arizona and beyond. Their dedication to fostering liberatory futures is an inspiration, and we celebrate this well-deserved recognition!

Dr. Nicolazzo shares deep gratitude for the students, colleagues, both at U of A and beyond, and dear friends who have supported them throughout their career.
