As graduation festivities begin to settle, it's the perfect moment to revisit the celebrations and recognize the exceptional service of our faculty and staff, as well as the accomplishments of our students.
This week is especially meaningful as we celebrate the deep contributions of our faculty to the University of Arizona’s Cultural Resource Centers:
- Dr. Vanessa Perry and Dr. Melanie Bertrand were honored with the Fabulous Faculty Award from the LGBTQ+2S Center, recognizing their unwavering support of Queer students and their advocacy in spaces of action and activism.
- Dr. Desiree Cueto served as the keynote speaker for the African American Student Affairs Celebration Ceremony for graduates. Her speech was poetic, heartfelt, and beautifully delivered.
- Felisia Tagaban Gaskin received the SKODEN UA Community Champion Award from Native American Student Affairs, acknowledging her remarkable commitment and service to Indigenous communities.
To relive these inspiring moments and more, you can view the College of Education Awards Ceremony and the Convocation livestream recording.
