COE Alumni Making News!
The University of Arizona College of Education celebrates alumna Karla Bernal Morales on her recent appointment as Chief Partnerships Officer at the Chamber of Southern Arizona. A graduate of the College’s Literacy, Learning and Leadership program, Morales was among the program’s early graduates in 2014 and has since built a strong career in leadership and community engagement across the region.

Meet Dr. Sunggye Hong, David and Minnie Meyerson Distinguished Professor and Unit Chair of the Special Education Program in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies at the University of Arizona College of Education. A 2020–2021 Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Hong is an internationally recognized expert in visual impairment. His research focuses on creating inclusive educational systems and STEM opportunities for students with visual impairments, bringing together interdisciplinary teams and real-world applications to advance equity and access in schools, careers, and communities.
