Dr. Jenny J. Lee is the Vice President and Dean of Arizona International at the University of Arizona, where she also serves as a Professor in the Center for the Study of Higher Education. In this role, she leads the university’s global engagement strategies, advancing international partnerships and fostering cross-cultural academic exchange.

Recognized among the top 2% of scholars in the field of higher education, Dr. Lee’s pioneering research has reshaped the discourse on how migration policies, geopolitics, and social forces drive inequities within higher education systems worldwide. She has authored more than 150 publications, including the multi-award-winning book, U.S. Power in International Higher Education, a seminal volume exploring the role of the United States in shaping international education.

Her research—funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education—has examined the intersections of geopolitics, internationalization, scientific collaboration, and equity in higher education. A trusted voice in global education policy, Dr. Lee’s insights are widely sought by international media outlets, including The New York TimesNatureScience, and NPR.
