This in-person option at our Tucson Main Campus prepares teachers to teach in K-8 Elementary classrooms teaching in English or dual language classrooms, teaching in both Spanish and English. During all four semesters of the program, students have fieldwork in schools with emergent bilingual students.
Study and research teaching foundations and methods.
Gain hands-on experience working with children in K-8 classrooms.
Prepare to teach in bilingual, dual language, and traditional classrooms with diverse language learners.
Graduates teach in public and private elementary schools in grades K-8 in Arizona and other states. Other graduates have gone on to graduate school in counseling, special education, and policy studies.
