This in-person option at our Tucson Main Campus prepares teachers to teach in K-8 Elementary classrooms teaching in English and learning to support multilingual learners. During all four semesters of the program, students have fieldwork in schools with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Study and research teaching practices, methods, and academic concentration.
Gain hands-on experience working with children in K-8 English Language Learner classrooms.
Prepare to teach in K-8 traditional or multilingual classrooms.
Graduates teach in public and private elementary schools in grades K-8 in Arizona and other states. Other graduates have gone on to graduate school in counseling, special education, and policy studies.
